Flip Klick does FUBU Palooza

The Summer is fully officially over and that cool crisp Autumn air is suddenly creeping across North Texas once again. As always, with this season change comes an end to the carefree days of dressing light and going to outdoor functions but not before FUBU Palooza ushers in DFW Fall festivities in classic fashion, fusing all manner of urban cultural elements, producing an amazing festival!

FUBU Palooza is a regional art festival with big plans, bringing together live art, local brands, media outlets, food venders and of course live HIp-Hop, Rap & R&B! This year's festival attracted a few hundred folks the to relatively small Royal Lane Studios facility in Irving Texas but event's creator informs me this is only the beginning as promises next years impression to be even bigger with plans to also take the concept on a multi-city tour!

The Event began a 2pm, in the middle of the day, coincidentally the same day as the huge annual Grambling vs PV football match up at the State Fair of Texas. As one of the hosts, one of the hosts I should have been there on time but I arrived a little late, around 4'oclock. As I arrived through the back way I was met by a sizable congregation of artists awaiting their sets. I mingled for a bit then proceeded into the venue to take a look around. The vibes were definitely in the building as among other things my eyes were immediately attracted to two half nude model receiving and artistic coating of paint!

The music was loud all day, there were two venders providing food and adult beverage and there were plenty of cool peeps to either meet or simple look at! At events like this I'm always surprised at how shy people are about actually taking initiative to mingle, non-the-less I made my rounds and made several new friends! There were fashion venders, art vendors, a local hemp shop, and I counted at least 2 other media outlets. It was a nice turn out overall and I had a great time.
